The PA Uniform Construction Code Review and Advisory Council (UCC RAC) is currently re-evaluating the 2015 ICC codes for adoption in Pennsylvania. The Review and Advisory Council’s report is due to Labor and Industry by May 1, 2018 with an effective date of October 1, 2018. The timeframe for conducting this re-review is short, and the Public Comment Period is even shorter.
Public comments are being accepted from January 12, 2018 until February 11, 2018! Please provide supportive comments for the clean adoption of the 2015 ICC Codes.
Please download the Public Comment Form and provide your written comment today! Click here to view the Building Codes 101 webinar presented in December of 2017.
The Department of Labor and Industry’s website states:
“On December 13, 2017, the RAC voted to review “additional sections” along with re-reviewing all changes that occurred from the 2012 to the 2015 codes. In effect, the RAC will be reviewing the 2015 codes in its entirety.
Interested parties are encouraged to submit comments for RAC consideration during the public comment period running from January 12-February 11, 2018 and can do so by utilizing the 2015 ICC Code Re-Review Public Comment Form. Please be sure to provide the specific I-code and code section being addressed by each comment, along with detailed supporting information. Each comment must relate to a single section (including subsections and/or referenced tables).”
