AIA Pennsylvania Adds Four Association Excellence Awards to Collection

AIA Pennsylvania is proud to announce the addition of four Pennsylvania Society of Association Executives (PASAE) Laurel Awards to our existing award collection. The PASAE Laurel Awards give AIA Pennsylvania the chance to reflect on our accomplishments and honor the dedication of our board, committees, and staff. Being honored with multiple awards for the third year in a row is the cherry on top validating our innovate practices and leadership in the association world. Ultimately our goal is to use our award honors as a recruitment tool to engage the lifeblood of associations, members!

The awards were presented at the Laurel Awards Gala during PASAE’s 2018 Educational Summit and Expo. AIA Pennsylvania swept awards in the Communications, Membership Recruitment and Retention, Meetings/Events/Education, and Overall categories.

Two Government Affairs initiatives were recognized for excellence in the Communications and Meetings/Events/Education categories. Accolades in the Communications category were received for 2017’s Architects Action Day Cube. The Architects Advocacy Cube was developed as a unique, interactive advocacy tool for Architects Action Day.  View the cube in action below or download and construct a mini-cube.

2016’s AEC Education Summit and Expo was honored with the Meetings/Events/Education award. The AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) Education Summit & Expo focused on the state of Pennsylvania’s K-12 Public Education Facilities and the role and responsibilities of the AEC Industry in building and advocating for a brighter future. AIA Pennsylvania convened AEC professionals, k-12 leaders, and legislators for an expo and four panels as follows.

  • STATE OF K12 SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION AND FUNDING: PlanCon Update
  • CREATIVE FINANCING: Case Studies from Across the Nation
  • COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT TO CREATE MEANINGFUL ARCHITECTURE: The New Sandy Hook School
  • HOW SCHOOL DESIGN IMPACTS EDUCATION
