Call to Serve the Commonwealth as a Citizen Architect

Expand the influence of the profession and serve the commonwealth as a Citizen Architect

AIA Pennsylvania is looking for your interest and expertise to build out a broad, diverse roster of member candidates to proactively fill vacant seats on boards, councils, committees, and commissions appointed by the Governor to serve the commonwealth. The insight and leadership of architects on issues ranging from building codes and energy to preservation and planning are critical to expanding the influence of the profession and building a better tomorrow for Pennsylvania’s communities.

When a vacancy arises, AIA Pennsylvania will contact candidates with appropriate credentials to discuss their background, relay appointment role/responsibilities, and confirm their interest/availability. AIA Pennsylvania will work with the candidate to champion their appointment and shepherd them through the gubernatorial appointment process.

Questions? Contact AIA Pennsylvania’s Director of Legislative Affairs, Amal Mahrouki, at amahrouki@aiapa.org or (717) 236-4055 ext.105.
