AIA Pennsylvania Small Firm Exchange (SFxPA) leadership and local Pittsburgh members hosted the first in-person Small Firm Forum, inspired by the SFxPA virtual forums, at AIA Pittsburgh’s annual continuing education conference, Build Pittsburgh.
SFxPA Chair, Lee Calisti and Bea Spolidoro, AIA Pittsburgh Past President and champion of the Small Firm Forums, were joined by panelists Max Mavrovic, Jeffrey DeNinno, and Bob Shelton. Topics of discussion revolved around small firm practitioners’ first-hand business development, client management, and staff development experiences.
The day also included a compelling keynote from Illya Azaroff of +LAB architect – sharing opportunities for architects to be leaders in resilience and regenerative design, a selection of 16 seminars covering a range of industry topics, lunch and learns, exhibitor showcase, and time to catch up with colleagues during the cocktail reception. Check out the photos from the day here.
