ULI Philadelphia announced eight project winners for its 2023 Awards for Excellence on Thursday, June 15, 2023, held at the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia, PA. Over 100 industry professionals and leaders celebrated the region’s development accomplishments. The work of eight firms with AIA Pennsylvania architect members was recognized at the ceremony.

Modeled to complement the ULI Global Awards for Excellence, the Philadelphia Award winners represent the highest standards of achievement in the development industry and advance the ULI mission to shape the future of the built environment for positive impact in communities worldwide. The Awards recognized finalists under three categories: Small Scale, Large Scale, and Open Space. Winners were among an impressive list of 13 finalists and selected by a national jury of nine experts.
In addition to recognizing the eight exceptional projects above, ULI Philadelphia also presented two inaugural Individual Leadership Awards. The Individual Leadership Award Winners were presented by Antonio Fiol-Silva, FAIA, Founding Principal at SITIO urbanism + architecture, and Marilyn Jordan-Taylor, Assoc. AIA, Professor of Architecture & Urban Design at Weitzman School of Design, University of Pennsylvania. Antonio and Marilyn, both ULI Philadelphia Advisory Board members, served on the organization’s 2023 Leadership Award jury.
The Urban Land Institute (ULI) is the oldest and largest network of cross-disciplinary real estate and land use experts in the world. ULI Philadelphia is one the institute’s largest and most robust District Councils, with about 1,000 members throughout the area, including regional satellites in Central Pennsylvania, Delaware, Lehigh Valley, and Southern New Jersey.
