A’22 | AIA Conference on Architecture 2022

June 22, 2022 - June 25, 2022

A’22 in Chicago!

The architecture and design event of the year is returning to Chicago this June. Join AIA to explore architecture’s ability to drive new thinking in one of the most design-forward, sustainable cities in the U.S.

As the designed world gets more complex, A’22 delivers the path forward.

  • Master new skills through an unrivaled range of sessions by big-name speakers.
  • Take an exclusive tour of Chicago’s architecture and local design firms.
  • Take advantage of unique in-person networking opportunities to build and expand your network.
  • And experience the newest high-tech materials from 500 of the industry’s best building product manufacturers.

The AIA community will be there to welcome you—don’t miss it.

One ticket gets you into all four days. Special pricing and discounts are available for AIA members. And—new this year—attendees can add on a one-day digital event in July packed with 15 additional courses, A’22 Virtual Ed.

Register by April 13, 2022, to receive the early bird rate and you’ll receive a full refund if you need to cancel your A’22 registration for any reason. Read the full cancellation policy >

EDI Resolutions in Action—Bolstering Minority Pipelines & Underserved Communities
Program Code: WE203 | Date: 6/22/2022

Diversity imbalances are present across many industries, and architecture is not immune. The architecture profession must productively evolve to address these historical inequities and better serve future demographics.

Consider that candidates from disadvantaged communities represent a rich talent pool that can enhance the breadth of experience in your firm. Similarly, underserved communities of color are typically bypassed in development scenarios that could yield triple-bottom-line returns. New AIA resolutions (sponsored by AIA PA) have been developed to address these issues. Join us as we review Pittsburgh’s UDream program and urban factors to make the case for involvement and participation.

How to Thrive in a Design-Build Future
Program Code: WE110 | Date: 6/22/2022

Struggling with a design-build project, or deciding if you should get involved with one? If that sounds familiar, this session is one that will honestly prepare you for the future.

Join us to learn from a panel of distinguished architects who lived through unhealthy projects and recovered by resolving what went wrong. By repositioning on the next engagement as an equal leader with the owner, they completed awarding-winning projects and were profitable.

Assistant Commissioner for the Office of Project Delivery (retired) – US General Services Administration (Retired)
