School Design and Construction (An Architect’s Perspective) (1LU|HSW)
April 15, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Masonry buildings offer a wealth of health and safety benefits to the occupants, including mitigating moisture, protecting air quality, enhancing resiliency and safety, as well as energy performance. So why is masonry not the standard for every school?
In this session, three notable architects will walk through a deep-dive review of school design and construction and discuss the use of concrete masonry products. Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of the best design practices and criteria used by architects in selecting materials and systems for school design, as well as preventative measures used to maximize the health, safety and wellness of learners.
