Women in Architecture | Celebrate International Women’s Day
March 8, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Free
The architecture profession has historically been a male dominated field, but that is quickly changing. According to NCARB by The Numbers, 49% of candidates starting the AXP are women and gender representation in candidates finishing the exam has increased 6 percentage points over the past decade.
Next step, increase the female presence at the committee and leadership level. Are you interested in volunteering for your profession, but unsure how to break through the gender barrier?
Join us on International Women’s Day for a happy hour and meet four women from AIA Pennsylvania who are leading in their local chapters, volunteering at the committee level, and contributing so much more to the profession. Hear their experiences, encouragement, and ask questions about breaking down the barriers.
