The Peterson Prize annually recognizes the best sets of architectural measured drawings πŸ“ produced by college students and submitted for the HABS/HAER/HALS Collection at the Library of Congress. The Prize if named in honor of Charles E. Peterson, FAIA (1906-2024), a founder of the HABS program, and is intended to increase awareness, knowledge and appreciation of historic buildings throughout the United States.

2025 Leicester B. Holland Prize Competition

The National Park Service, in conjunction with the Library of Congress, AIA, and the Paul Rudolph Trust is sponsoring the Leicester B. Holland Prize 2025 Single-Sheet Measured Drawing Competition πŸ… for students and professionals alike.

The Holland Prize annually recognizes the best single sheet drawing of a site appropriate for inclusion in the HABS/HAER/HALS Collection at the Library of Congress. The Prize is named in honor of Leicester B. Holland, FAIA (1882-1952), head of the Fine Arts Division of the Library of Congress and first curator of the HABS Collection. The competition is intended to promote appreciation of historic American architecture, engineering, and landscape architecture, and to honor excellence in delineation and composition. πŸ“
