Architectural Designer
HUNT-EAS
James Heft, Assoc. AIA, is an Architectural Designer at HUNT-EAS and a 2020 graduate from the Pennsylvania College of Technology, where he completed his B.S. Building Science and Sustainable Design with an Architectural Technology Concentration.
During and after his education at Penn College, James worked under a construction manager serving the Scranton-Wilkes Barre, PA area. During this time, he gained insight into the critical role AEC professionals play in advocating for and implementing projects that help develop and revitalize Northeastern Pennsylvania cities. James contributed to projects across various sectors, including Office, Hospitality, Industrial and Higher Education.
In 2022 when James joined HUNT-EAS, he further deepened his understanding of the challenges facing underserved schools and towns of rural Northeast Pennsylvania. Throughout his time at HUNT, James has worked on numerous projects, including K-12, Healthcare, County/Municipal and Office spaces. This experience has been invaluable in his ongoing professional development and has reinforced his belief that AEC professionals can drive positive changes in their communities.
Today James serves on both the AIA Northeastern Pennsylvania local board and the AIA Pennsylvania state board, where he continues to advocate for the renovation and development of Pennsylvania schools and towns.
