Compton Insights
Scott is a Principal with Compton Insights, an architecture and planning firm focused on sustainable solutions to extend the lifecycle of existing buildings and campuses. He is also a Principal Architect with Amtrak, where he was tapped to help complete the Moynihan Train Hall in New York City and now manages major capital programs throughout the Wilmington, Delaware region with their Stations Design and facilities Group. Scott has over 30 years of experience in architectural design, systems integration, facilities management, and historic preservation.
A Citizen Architect, Scott currently serves as the Pennsylvania Representative to the AIA National Strategic Council where in 2021 he Co-Convened the Rural + Suburban Area of Study and participated in the Strategic Council Steering Committee.
Scott was the 2019 and 2020 Chair of AIA National’s Corporate Architects and Facility Managers Advisory Group (CAFM) where he served for six years. Scott has participated in Grassroots and SLGN conferences and currently sits on the States Government Network Advisory Group curating content for future Architects in Action conferences.
Locally, Scott served as the 2018 President of AIA Pennsylvania, and continues serving as Co-Chair Emeritus of their Government Affairs Committee, and AIA Pennsylvania Director to the AIA Philadelphia Board.
