

Elysia Mikkelsen, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, is the President of AIA Pennsylvania and a project architect with Crabtree Rohrbaugh & Associates, where she has spent more than a decade leading K–12 educational, university, and sustainable design projects across the Commonwealth. Her work is rooted in community‑focused architecture, collaborative design processes, and the advancement of high‑performance learning environments.
A respected leader within the American Institute of Architects and Board member since 2018, Elysia has served in numerous statewide and chapter roles, including AIA Central Pennsylvania Chapter President, Emerging Professionals Chair, Treasurer, EPiC Representative, and Strategic Council Chair for AIA Pennsylvania. She has contributed significantly to advocacy, government affairs, licensure support, and equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives that strengthen the architectural profession across the state.
She is a registered architect in Pennsylvania, an NCARB certificate holder, and a LEED Accredited Professional. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture and a Minor in Sustainability from Philadelphia University.
As President of AIA Pennsylvania, Elysia is committed to elevating the voice of architects statewide, championing emerging leaders, and advancing a more equitable, resilient, and forward‑focused profession.
