Join the AIA New Jersey Committee on the Environment for The Silent Architecture of Human Health, a compelling webinar presented by Philip Allsopp, D.Arch., M.S. (Public Health), RIBA, CSBA. With a career that uniquely integrates architecture, public health science, systems analytics, and climate action, Allsopp examines how the built environment quietly yet profoundly shapes physical health, mental wellbeing, life expectancy, and community resilience.

Through data-driven research, case studies, and systems-based analysis, the program examines how design decisions related to housing quality, walkability, environmental exposure, and infrastructure directly affect chronic disease, public safety, and social equity. Informed by Allsopp’s leadership in healthcare analytics, global consulting, academia, and the Royal Institute of British Architects, the session positions architecture as a critical public health intervention.

Participants will gain insight into the architect’s expanding role in addressing climate change and societal risk, and how interdisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based design can measurably improve health, safety, and welfare across communities.
